"Laughing
Bird" is all about printing to
translate our love of Australia's incredible natural
environment.
Textile designer and maker,
Freedom Wilson established "Laughing
Bird" in 2007.
We design and screen print our wares in the Laughing Bird Blue Mountains studio, where
we are often
entertained by the calls of kookaburras, king parrots, rosellas and
bower birds.
Each
product draws inspiration from Australia's unique natural
heritage. The
Blue Mountains national park is on our doorstep and sketching whilst
hiking here is a constant delight.
Our prints are made with the highest
regard for the natural environment. We use solvent free pigments on
heavy duty, beautiful quality fabrics made to last. Our screen
printed home wares are practical, original,
stylish and fun.
We print to order and encourage custom printing enquiries.
Anthony
Bourke is our business and accounts manager and puts
the structures in place that enable an efficient transition
from design idea to product delivery.
Laughing Bird merges classic illustrative styles with
contemporary design to make practical Australian products and
gifts.
